New English Language Score Requirements for Australian Visas (Effective 7 August 2025)

Starting 7 August 2025, the Department of Home Affairs has introduced new English language score requirements Australia 2025 across a range of accepted tests, including IELTS, PTE, TOEFL iBT, CELPIP, OET, MET, and LanguageCert.
These updated scores apply to visa subclasses that require English language proficiency, including:
- Skilled migration visas (e.g. 189, 190, 491)
- Employer-sponsored visas (e.g. 186, 482, 494)
- Graduate visas (485)
- Student visas (500)
This update significantly affects candidates applying with PTE score for Australian visa and IELTS score for student visa, as new benchmarks are now in place.
