The Perth Metropolitan Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA), classified as a Category 2 regional area under Australia’s migration framework, is a strategic program developed to help local employers address ongoing skill shortages across the Greater Perth region. This initiative forms part of the broader DAMA program, specifically tailored for DAMA regions in Western Australia.

The DAMA visa Perth provides approved businesses with the opportunity to sponsor overseas workers for a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled occupations that are otherwise not accessible through the traditional skilled visa routes. This makes the Perth DAMA sponsorship particularly attractive to industries experiencing critical labour gaps.

Key Benefits of the Perth DAMA

The DAMA visa in WA offers substantial concessions beyond standard visa pathways, making it highly appealing to both employers and skilled migrants. These include:

Lower English language proficiency requirements
Increased flexibility in age thresholds
Relaxed work experience prerequisites
Pathways to Permanent Residency (PR)

The PR options through DAMA visa in Perth make this agreement a compelling choice for skilled migrants aiming for long-term settlement in Western Australia.

Eligible Employers and Application Process

To access this regional visa under DAMA in Perth, businesses must be legally operating within the Perth Metropolitan Area, which is part of the DAMA areas in Western Australia. Before applying, employers are required to seek endorsement from the Designated Area Representative (DAR). Once endorsed, they can proceed to lodge a Labour Agreement request with the Department of Home Affairs.

If you’re wondering how to apply for DAMA visa in Perth, or looking for guidance through the DAMA process, it’s advisable to consult a migration agent of Perth for a DAMA visa. Professional assistance from a DAMA visa consultant of Perth or DAMA visa migration agent of Perth ensures a smoother application process and increases the likelihood of successful approval.

Priority Industries Covered Under Perth DAMA

This DAMA supports multiple key sectors that are vital to Perth’s economy. These include:

Healthcare and aged care
Hospitality and tourism
Construction and trades
Early childhood education
Manufacturing and logistics

Occupations in Demand

Under the Perth DAMA visa occupation list, only approved occupations are eligible for nomination. Employers must first demonstrate a genuine attempt to hire local Australian workers before turning to overseas talent. These eligible occupations for DAMA WA are carefully selected based on regional skill gaps and industry needs.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really happy with my experience with the migration agent. From the beginning, Neet took the time to understand and properly analyse my situation and explain what we needed to do.

Neet was very knowledgeable and always knew what the next step was, which gave me a lot of peace of mind throughout the process. Also, a big thank you to Manvi, who kept checking in about the documents and making sure everything was ready when needed.

The whole visa process can be pretty stressful, but having someone who knows what they’re doing and keeps you updated makes a big difference.

Really appreciate all the help and support from both of them. And most importantly — we got the visa! 🙌

Would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs help with their visa.
